The AIESEC Experience

AIESEC is the international platform for young people to explorer and develop their potential to have a positive impact on society.

To reach this aim, AIESEC provides over 7,700 leadership positions , organizes over 470 conferences, and runs an exchange program that offers 5,500 members the opportunity to live and work in a foreign country.

Present in over 1700 universities in over 107 countries and territories, AIESEC provides you the opportunity to:

  • Gain international experience and work abroad
  • Build a global network by connecting to like-minded youth around the world

AIESEC Learning Environment

What makes a learning organization different from other organizations is how unique and different its learning environment is.

The AIESEC Learning Environment is the synergy effect that allows all the different components to impact on a person through a framework of activities that ensure the delivery of the member experience in AIESEC. It is a unique environment that helps people to discover and develop their potential and also creates opportunity for development of defined competencies while in AIESEC members.

The learning environment in the context of Issue-based AIESEC Experience from the general point of view of having a focus around an ISSUE/TOPIC; however the opportunities are there for all individuals and should is not restricted to anyone.

The AIESEC Learning Environment contributes to Competencies development in two ways:

  • Direct Development of competencies by working in Learning Environment
  • Create Personal Competencies Development Plan which is also based on the output from the assessment of our competencies using the individual assessment tool present in our virtual platform and developed by Career Innovation.

Individual discovery – The formal steps that an individual takes through the AIESEC Experience. It has been carefully designed as a self-driven structured learning experience.Mentoring - Mentoring relationships provide an important source of external feedback, challenge and reflection which is very important in an individual’s development

Learning Circles- AIESEC Learning Circles are local learning communities. They are formed by local and international AIESECers who share a common interest in gaining experience, knowledge and networks in a common sector or topic.

Conference and Seminars – AIESEC holds over 350 national & international conferences every year. These conferences currently serve as a major organisational activity support.

Team Experiences – Teams are the basis of our current organizational structure. Essentially, from the first to the last step of an individuals experience in AIESEC is taken within a team. Teams also bring to light the critical aspect of ‘learning by doing’

Virtual Spaces - Our virtual spaces play the key role of tying together the entire learning environment and the entire AIESEC network.
